We're currently seeking experienced candidates for the following positions:
MS SQL Server Database Administrator and Programmer
Trade Wings' Database Administrator will be a member of software development team building SaaS applications that allow telecom manufacturing partners and service providers to manage visibility of their equipment inventories and lifecycles. The ideal candidate possesses a thorough understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2008, SSIS, and SSRS. He/she should be a self-starter with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects in a small team environment. We offer a stimulating environment for proficient software developers who can analyze, develop, deliver and support high quality service based software.
Responsibilities
- Data migration/integration – we regularly pull data from various data sources, including ERP and Logistics application databases. We also export data for use in other applications.
- Database programming – create and maintain stored procedures and triggers in the production database, as well as support on-going development of database services in Transact-SQL.
- Report writing – Must be proficient in SSRS for report creation and maintenance.
- Performance optimization – must be able to diagnose performance issues and take appropriate corrective actions. Must be able to use query profiler to identify and evaluate slow-running operations and optimize them.
- Database design – Working with development team leads, design and implement database schema for new applications/extensions (ERWIN).
- Manage database backup/redundancy – we have mirrored servers and log-shipping to a back-up server (also used for report generation).
Requirements
- Must be experienced in MS SQL Server administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Must have experience with either SSIS or SSRS, preferably with both.
- Must be highly proficient in Transact-SQL.
- Must have experience with SQL Server database development and design.
- Experience with SAP Business One integration is highly desirable, but not requried.
